What your Fiji retreat will look like…

Take what you need from our schedule. This week is designed for you to rest, relax and reset.

We have deliberately opted for a different kind of itinerary for this blissful yoga retreat in Fiji. Besides your yoga, Pilates and meditation sessions, and a complimentary 30 minutes relaxation massage, you get to fill the rest of your schedule with the things that bring you joy.

There are many free activities for you to enjoy while staying in Fiji. Go snorkeling or have a try on a paddle-board. Lounge by the pool or play volleyball or croquet, and swing in a hammock while reading books from your favourite author.

It’s about disconnecting from your daily life and digital devices and reconnect to yourself. Do the things you rarely get time for at home! It’s your time to shine.

Treat yourself with nice extra’s like a facial, pedicure or one of the many wellness packages the island spa has to offer. You can also book a trip to a local village, embark on a guided rainforest hike or spend a day in the sun on ‘picnic island’.

Arrival and welcome day:

Pick-up from Suva-Nausori airport followed by a scenic boat transfer to Toberua Private Island Resort.

Upon arrival at the resort you will welcome you with a traditional cocktail after which you’ll have time to settle into your room, and explore the island.

In the afternoon you will enjoy a yin class in the early evening followed by a 3-course dinner.

If you prefer to fly in a few days prior to the retreat, this can be requested in the booking form.

What your Fiji retreat will look like:

7.45am | Energising Vinyasa Yoga Class
9am | Breakfast
10am – 1pm | Free Time, poolside relaxation after your travel journey, and time slots for your complimentary 30 mins Relaxation Massage
1pm | Lunch
2pm – 5pm | Free Time, and massage time slots
5pm – 6pm | Yin Yoga
6.30pm | Optional cocktail hour at own expense
7.30pm | Dinner & a glass of wine

Please note, there might be some small changes to the below yoga retreat schedule due to logistics on the ground.

Your Fiji Retreat hostess

Your hostess for this beautiful retreat is Sabijn Linssen, founder of Retreat Here. San was born in the southern-most part of The Netherlands and has lived all over the world, ending up in Australia. If I would describe Sabijn, she’s laid-back, easy going and down to earth.

Many of her previous guests have stayed in touch over the years and keep coming back to the retreats, which shows the deep connection you’ll find at one of the retreats.

Join this beautiful community of openminded and welcoming women, who love good food wine, traveling and of course yoga, pilates and meditation.

Types of yoga & pilates classes:

Yoga is for every body and available for all levels of fitness. We do recommend joining a few classes prior to your retreat, but you don’t have to be a yoga-pro who does handstands for breakfast.

Sabijn will give adjustments to grow in your practice and challenge yourself!

Expect flowing pilates classes, followed by soothing stretches. Strengthen your body and grow your confidence, which will help you in your yoga practice but also in life.

The yoga classes are vinyasa based and expect to flow trough sequence that are creatively put together while likening your breath with each movement. In the evening we’ll slow down and practice yin yoga or yoga nidra.

The location

Take a sneak peek at this video of Toberua Private Island Resort and start daydreaming.

Toberua island is located in the Lomaiviti Group, east of Viti Levu, the largest of the Fijian islands. It’s best to fly into Suva-Nausori airport via Nadi, as your transfer to the island will be included from here.

From Nadi, it’s a short 30 minutes flight to Suva. Qantas and Fiji Airways provide flights from Melbourne and Sydney to Nadi and onwards to Suva.

Reviews of earlier participants:

“Loved working with Jo! Quick to respond, very knowledgeable and did a great job of pointing us in the right travel direction - no pun intended. We stayed at some amazing laid-back luxury places, and we couldn't have wished for a better holiday. It was so nice having a personal travel advisor, and the fact that Jo is truly passionate about only working with eco-conscious hotels and other suppliers is a bonus!”

About Sab & Jo

Sab (founder Retreat Here) and Jo (founder Barefoot Luxury Travellers) go back nearly 20 years. They met in the South of France both working at the AMEX business travel office. Both share a healthy lust for life, adventures, travel, fine dining, nature and of course a good glass of wine.

Both are convinced that life is all about balance, yoga & wine, yes you can! Sab ended up in Australia and Jo is still living in the South of France, both running  businesses  they are passionate and knowledgeable about.

Over time (and wine) the idea was born that yoga, wine and sustainable luxury would make a great combination and their collaboration was a fact.
